MJS Pharmacy

Frankie C F Cheung graduated as a pharmacist at University of Bradford, England with an honors degree. He was then trained in London for a year before being registered as a member of Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain(RPSGB)

 

Upon registering with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board of Hong Kong, he then worked in Hong Kong as a community pharmacist before returning to UK to work full-time in the hospital. During this period of time he also worked in a community pharmacy every weekend to diversify and gain experiences in various aspects of pharmaceutical care from both hospital pharmacy and community pharmacy.

In 1999, he came to Canada with his four children Michele, Joshua, Martin &  Jeremy  or simply  MJ'S, and his wife, Nettie. Soon, Frankie started his first health food store at 6235 Victoria Drive, Vancouver under the name MJ'S Nature's Best Nutrition Centre.

We have been a member of Canadian Health Food Association ever since.

Two years later, he opened another health food store in Champlain Mall, Kerr Street, which is still being managed by Nettie.

 

 

In April 2003, Frankie was certified as a Candian pharmacist by the College of Pharmacists.

 

A year later, we relocated our first health food store (6235 Victoria Drive) to our current location (6255 Victoria Drive) as well as renaming this branch to MJ's Natural Pharmacy, after the addition of a pharmacy. We hope to better serve our clients through combining the beneficial aspects of natural health foods and traditional pharmaceutical care. Our mission is to serve our customers with professional and friendly services.

In February 2007, the 3^rd branch named  MJ'S Natural Pharmacy No.2 was established, which is currently managed by Grace Leung.

MJ'S Natural Pharmacy No.3 , the 4th branch located at #1130- 8260 Westminster Hway, Richmond, BC is due to open sometimes in November 2011.
 

     Grace Leung, a registered Pharmacist in B.C.,  graduated from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences in UBC. 

 

 

 She has experienced working with a multi-disciplinary team when she worked for a large chain medical services company in Hong Kong.  She was trained to be a signature presenter of Canadian Diabetes Association and has a vision in promoting Diabetes care to the community. She is also registered to administer injection. As a manager of MJ's Natural Pharmacy No.2, Grace is passionate to serve and provide pharmaceutical care to all who walks into MJ's.

         Sissy Lau has joined our team for several years. In Hong Kong, Sissy was a registered nurse at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Here at MJ's, she has been serving our customers in the health food section of the store with friendliness and enthusiasm towards our customers.

 

       Karin Ng (UBC Pharmacy Student), left, has joined our team for several years and has vast amount of experience in pharmacy and book keeping. Karin is a great asset to our team.
Joyce Wong (UBC Science Student), right, have recently joined us and have progressed tremendously in pharmaceutical practice.
